The first night was a real shocker for all of us because of the rats. They were huge, noisy and fearless rats - as soon as the candles went out they would run through their kingdom unabated, trampling the poor souls sleeping on the floors. We had to hang our food from the ceiling and buy huge candles to burn the whole night, so we could get a good nights sleep. We managed to capture one of them on camera.
